Signing Ceremony of the Construction Contract for the Laem Chabang Port Development Project, Phase 3, Section 2, between the Port Authority of Thailand and CHEC (Thai) Co., Ltd.
     CHEC (Thai) Co., Ltd. signed a construction contract for Phase 3, Section 2 of the Laem Chabang Port Development Project, which includes the construction of buildings, berths, road systems, and utilities, in collaboration with the Port Authority of Thailand (PAT) on July 31, 2024. The signing ceremony took place in the meeting room of the Port Authority of Thailand’s headquarters and was presided over by Deputy Minister of Transport Manaporn Chareonsri, along with senior executives from the Ministry of Transport, PAT board members, executives from CHEC (Thai) Co., Ltd., and the media.
     Mr. Kriengkrai Chaisiriwongsuk, PAT Director General, stated that this signing marks significant progress in developing the port to provide more facilities and a continuous transportation network to support the expansion of sea cargo, rail cargo, and various types of goods that will increase with future economic growth.
     At the event, Mr. Jiang Houliang, Regional Managing Director of China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC), gave an interview stating that CHEC has extensive expertise and experience in constructing and developing ports worldwide, as well as long-term involvement in Thailand’s infrastructure. He expressed confidence that the company would be able to carry out the construction of the Project to standard and complete it within the contractual timeframe.
